As the world mourns the loss of Queen Elizabeth II – Britain’s longest reigning queen – a dissenting voice took the opportunity to snub the late monarch.
US professor Uju Anya recently doubled down on earlier critical comments, which included wishing Her Majesty an “agonizing” death – leading to her being slammed by billionaire Jeff Bezos.
Anya launched her first salvo after it was revealed yesterday that Her Highness, 96, was under medical supervision. “I heard the supreme monarch of a thieving, raping genocidal empire is finally dying,” tweeted Uju Anya, associate professor of second language learning at Carnegie Mellon University at the time. “May her pain be excruciating.”
The professor’s tirade was subsequently deleted from Twitter, but not before it caught the attention of Amazon founder and third richest man in the world, Jeff Bezos, who retweeted it ugly message and wrote: “This is someone who supposedly works to make the world a better place? I do not think so. Wow.”
However, the news had little impact on Anya, who released even more anti-queen comments right after the palace announced the monarch’s death yesterday afternoon.
“If anyone expects me to express anything other than contempt for the monarch who oversaw a government that supported the genocide that massacred and expelled half my family and the aftermath of which those alive today are still trying to overcome, you can imagine keep wanting a star. ” the Hell-wisher raged in a follow-up tweet at 1:51 p.m
Anya also took a swipe at billionaire Bezos in responses to his criticism of her, Write:
“May all harmed by you and your merciless greed in this world remember you as fondly as I remember my colonizers.”
Carnegie Mellon has not yet responded to the Post’s request for comment.
