Prince Andrew won’t leave the £1million-a-year Royal Lodge after giving up titles and settling a £7million rape case

PRINCE Andrew will not leave his home at Royal Lodge after relinquishing his titles and settling his £7million rape lawsuit.
That Duke of York lives in the 31-bedroom Georgian mansion, although she appears to have no means to pay the £1million-a-year upkeep.
The 62 year old done with Virginia Roberts Giuffre over an alleged figure of around £7million over claims he raped and abused her when she was 17, which he vehemently denies.
Before being paid off, the prince was stripped of his royal titles and honorary military ranks and resigned as patron of several charities.
But despite speculation earlier this year he would be forced to leave the royal box, he was now “very unlikely” to move, a royal source told the Mail on Sunday.
in 2003, Andrew signed a 75-year lease at Royal Lodge to the Crown Estate for a one-off fee of £1million – the equivalent of around £250 a week.

Andrew has spent £7.5million refurbishing the property, including adding an indoor pool.
Royal Lodge, which would be worth at least £30m on the open market, is three miles away Windsor Castle and was the Queen Mother’s old home.
Andrew’s former wife Sarah Ferguson also lives in the villa, although the couple are believed to have separate wings.
Questions have been asked about the Dukes over the years seemingly exceptional wealth.
He has a watch collection believed to be worth hundreds of thousands of pounds and is also known to have a penchant for expensive cars, including £220,000 Bentley.
His jet set life has seen him partying everywhere from St Tropez to New York and until recently he owned a £17million ski chalet in the Alps.
However, the official annual income is believed to be just £248,000 pocket money from the Queen and a Royal Navy pension of just under £20,000.

Since this allowance was intended to cover the costs of his duties, including his human resources team, it would apparently not go far enough to cover his flamboyant lifestyle as well.
Prince Andrew’s representatives have been asked for comment.
