Prince Andrew comforts corgis after Queen Elizabeth’s funeral

Queen Elizabeth’s son Prince Andrew was seen on Monday spending time with the late monarch’s beloved corgis.

The Duke of York, 62, was spotted at Windsor Castle where the dogs were waiting after Her Majesty’s funeral on September 19.

Two of the queen’s puppies were being held on a leash by two palace guards as Andrew approached them to comfort them.

The father of two and embattled king approached and bent down to pet the corgis – dubbed Muick and Sandy.

Andrew and the rest of the royal family attended the Queen’s funeral service at Westminister Abbey.

He recently caused a stir when he was forced to wear a morning suit instead of his military uniform for the event.

However, he was allowed to wear the uniform to a vigil for the Queen at the weekend.

He had previously been stripped of his royal duties and titles by his mother after he fell out of favor for his friendship with the late pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

Andrew paid tribute to the sovereign on September 18 in a solemn eleventh-hour commemorative note.

“Dear Mama, Mother, Your Majesty, three in one. Your Majesty, it has been an honor and a privilege to serve you,” he said in his statement.

“Mother – of the nation, your devotion and personal service to our nation is unique and one of a kind; Your people show their love and respect in so many different ways, and I know you’re keen to honor their respect,” he continued.

Last week it was reported that Andrew and ex-wife Sarah Ferguson were taking on the Queen’s corgis.

The Queen was known for her love of horses and her precious corgis. In the 1970s, she even created her own hybrid breed with her sister, Princess Margaret, called “Dorgi” – a cross between a Dachshund and a Corgi. Prince Andrew comforts corgis after Queen Elizabeth’s funeral
