Prepare for Cruel Cold Friday – CBS Baltimore

BALTIMORE (WJZ) – The cold air definitely took its sweet time coming here on Thursday morning.
It didn’t get here early enough to turn a lot of rain into snow.
It’s finally stabilizing across Maryland and don’t be surprised if a few fires run through this afternoon.
Now, our attention turns to the brutal cold air in the store tonight on Friday and Friday night.
Your WJZ First Warning Weather Team has declared Friday a Warning Day because of wind chill in the digits.
Although the weather won’t work, it will be very cold.

The temperature tonight will drop to almost 15°. With northerly winds of 10-15 MPH, it will feel between 7-10°.
That means the actual temperature can be in digits when your child is standing at the bus stop on a Friday morning.
Make sure you and our family are finished before you head out. and don’t plan on going out for any length of time if you don’t have to.
Also, make sure your four-legged friends have some warm places to sleep.
Don’t bank too hot during the day.
Although the skies are partly sunny, temperatures will only rise in the mid-20s. Elements in the north wind blow strong and it will just feel like the teenagers on.
Another bone-chilling cold hit Friday night as temperatures dropped to mid-teens.
Our weekend looks a little warmer and drier. The highest temperatures will be at their lowest through the mid-30s with the lowest overnight temperatures in the 20s.
