POST Houston is transforming an old post office into a dining and entertainment destination

HOUSTON, Texas – POST Houston is Houston’s newest dining, shopping and entertainment destination. The project transforms the 550,000+ square foot historic Barbara Jordan Post Office on Franklin Street in downtown Houston into a mixed-use space.

The site includes the largest rooftop park in America, complete with a “sky farm” that grows fresh fruit, herbs and vegetables used in many restaurants within POST Houston. The food hall already houses more than two dozen shops with dishes from all over the world. The facility will also host concerts and art exhibitions on the Skylawn.

In redesigning the space, those responsible have attempted to create a contemporary feel while retaining some of the historical touches to honor the building’s history.
