Piers Morgan wishes Queen speedy recovery after ‘disturbing’ Covid diagnosis

PIERS Morgan wished the Queen a speedy recovery after she tested positive for coronavirus.
Buckingham Palace officials say the Queen is experiencing “mild cold-like symptoms”, but is expected to undertake “light duty” this week.
When the news broke this afternoon, Piers took to social media to wish the 95-year-old a “quick and full recovery” from the virus.
The curator of The Sun column sent to her 7.9 million followers: “Wishing the Queen a speedy and full recovery from COVID-19.
“It’s very worrying for any 95-year-old to get this virus and a very worrying time for Britain when it’s our King. Good luck, ma’am.”
There were worries for her health after she had direct contact with Prince Charles two days before he tested positive for coronavirus in a regular lateral flow.
Officials say she will “continue to receive medical care” from her royal team of doctors.
The shock diagnosis came just a fortnight after His Majesty celebrated the Platinum Jubilee and said she wishes Camilla to become Queen Consort when Charles is made king.
The palace said in a statement today: “Buckingham Palace can confirm that the Queen has today tested positive for Covid.
