Pet Rescue: Firefighters rescued a dog from a home fire caused by a power wheelchair in the Cypress Creek Lakes subdivision

CYPRESS, Texas (KTRK) – Firefighters have rescued a dog from a house fire in the Cypress Creek Lakes subdivision, officials say.

At approximately 4:18 p.m., the Cy-Fair Fire Department responded to a house fire at Block 10000 of Beacon Crossing Lane.

Upon arrival, firefighters said they found a fire coming from the garage with an attic extension.

Firefighters entered and rescued a French bulldog trapped inside.

The dog is said to be in good condition and has been reunited with its owner, CFFD says.

Officials say a charging power wheelchair in the garage caused the fire.
