MANCHESTER CITY boss Pep Guardiola is reportedly one of the prime candidates to replace Brazil boss Tite after the World Cup.
GuardiolaHis contract with the Premier League champions expires in the summer of 2023.
Brazil would offer the Spaniard a deal until 2026 and pay him just under £10m-a-year after tax.
That’s significantly less than the £16m he’s currently getting at City.
Guardiola has already expressed his desire to work at international level, having won 15 league titles as a player and coach.
He said: “I would like to be an international manager in a national team.
“Sooner or later it will happen because I would like to be there every three days, but a little bit calmer, play more golf… now I don’t have time to play.
“So yes, sooner or later it will happen if I have a chance and an international team wants to come knock knock. [at my door]. We will see.”
Guardiola also said of Man City last year: “After seven years in this team, I think I’m going to retire.
“I’ll have to take a break to see what we’ve done.
“And I would like to train a South American [team]European [national side]playing a Copa America – that’s the experience I want to have.”
