Pedestrian killed in vehicle launch in northwest Houston, police are searching for the driver responsible

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) – One person was killed during a race in the Willowbrook area of ​​northwest Houston on Friday night.

Houston police responded to FM 1960 near 249 after a pedestrian was crossing a freeway and was fatally struck by a motorist around 8:30 p.m.

Police said pedestrians wore dark clothing in dark areas, crossing the street where there was no pedestrian crossing.

Police are looking for witnesses and surveillance video to find the driver responsible.
