RUBY Shelby had another troubling vision in the second part of Peaky Blinders season 6 – and fans think they’ve cracked the code.
Fans have been promised the ‘darkest’ season yet of the hit BBC series as the finale unfolds over the coming weeks – and the show’s creator Steven Knight has certainly delivered.
In the final episode, viewers saw young Ruby startle her mother, Lizzie, who was sitting by the fireplace with a black Madonna, talking through voices she could hear.
“Ruby, what are you doing darling?” Lizzie asked, and her daughter replied, “I can hear voices coming from the chimney.”
Questioning her concerned parents, what she could hear, Ruby shared, “The gray man.”
Fans of the popular Birmingham drama soon wondered what Ruby’s description could mean.
Alongside a shocked face emoji, one person wrote: “Tommy’s daughter always says ‘The Gray Man’. Interesting. What is Michael’s middle name?
Echoing her comments, another said: “I’m convinced that ‘They Gray Man’ is actually Michael Grey, who looks like he’s out for revenge. Polly also predicted a war in which one must die.”
While a third added: “How did nobody make the connection that ‘The Gray Man’ is Michael Gray?”
Intriguingly, Knight has previously teased that outcast Michael Gray “wants to kill” Tommy Shelby.
The move would possibly fulfill Aunt Polly’s prophecy when she predicted that either her son Michael or her nephew Tommy would kill the other.
Speaking exclusively to Radio Times, Steven said: “I can’t give you any specifics about their relationship, but I’m sure you can guess. It won’t go well.
“I like the complexity of what happened with Michael, where he was ripped out of this village, but he wanted to be ripped, he wanted out.
“And he’s become Tommy and he admires Tommy and wants Tommy’s approval but he also wants to kill him.”
