Palm Street home fire: Houston firefighters injured in 2-alarm house fire in Ba

Firefighters were dispatched to a home on Palm Street near Paige around 3:11 a.m. Wednesday to check on a reported home fire.
The fire was already in the air by the time firefighters arrived on the scene.
Houston fire officials said one firefighter suffered minor injuries when a wall collapsed at his home. He was transported to the hospital.
Thankfully, officials say the firefighters will be okay.
No other injuries were reported, although it was a two-alarm fire in the middle of the neighborhood.
A neighbor told ABC13 they heard an explosion before seeing the fire.
Firefighters said no one lived inside the house where the fire started, which is under construction. The house was completely destroyed.
The fire quickly spread to two other houses. The second floor of one house was badly damaged, the HFD said.
Someone inside managed to make it out OK. Firefighters said no one living in another home was damaged by the blaze.
HFD added that a fourth house down the street was damaged by water.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation. The arson crew was seen inspecting the house.
In total, about 100 firefighters responded to the scene.
