Packers Clinch Division after Raven’s 2-point attempt failed – CBS Baltimore

BALTIMORE (AP) – Aaron Rodgers hit three touchdown passes – putting Brett Favre on the Green Bay career roster – and the Packers became the first team this season to win the championship, ending the NFC North with a 31-30 win before Baltimore.
The Ravens missed a massive 2 point conversion in the last minute.

With Lamar Jackson spraining his ankle, Tyler Huntley nearly led Baltimore (8-6) all the way back from a 31-17 deficit. His 8-yard touchdown with 42 seconds left Raven in round one, but Huntley’s 2-point converting pass didn’t complete.
It was a third straight loss for Baltimore, which was also a two-day loss to Pittsburgh last weekend before missing a conversion 2 points in the final seconds. Team Raven fell to the top of the group in AFC North with Cincinnati.

Devastated this season by injuries – especially on the sideline – Baltimore faces an uphill task trying to stop Rodgers and the Green Bay recipients. The Ravens spent enough time on their own to keep the game closed, but the Packers got the ball first after a 14-14 draw and took advantage.
Baltimore appeared to have had a Green Bay (11-3) stop on failing to finish for the third time, but Kevon Seymour’s minimal exposure was enough for a jamming flag to pass. Rodgers found Aaron Jones for a 9-yard touchdown in the next play.
The Ravens drove into Green Bay territory before another devastating punishment. With Baltimore holding the ball effectively and preparing to progress to 4th and 1st in the red zone, Ben Cleveland made a false start. Raven settled for a goal on the field, and Green Bay drove 88 yards, taking an 11-point lead after an 11-yard pass from Rodgers to Marquez Valdes-Scantling.
It was Rodgers’ 442th touchdown pass, pulling him even with Favre. He went 23 out of 31 with 268 yards. Rodgers has thrown 13 touchdowns without interception in his last four games and is unchallenged by his toe injury.
Down 31-17, Raven began their comeback as Huntley ran a 3-yard touchdown with the score remaining at 4:47. Then they got the ball back and scored again.
Huntley threw 215 yards and two touchdowns in the first half for Mark Andrews. The first game, which gave Baltimore a 7-0 lead, was the first time in eight weeks that the Ravens scored the opening TD.
A nine-yard pass to Andrews gave Baltimore a 14-7 lead in the second half, but Rodgers responded with a 3-yard scoring pass to Davante Adams.
Andrews has 10 136-yard catches and two TDs.
Illnesses
Baltimore CB Tavon Young left to be evaluated for concussion, and the Ravens also lost T Tire Phillips to a knee injury.
