Aaron Rodgers finally gets his wide receiver.
After trading superstar and perennial Pro Bowl receiver Davante Adams to the Las Vegas Raiders and picking a receiver in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft, the Packers traded North Dakota wide receiver Christian Watson in the second round State with the No. 34 overall pick.
The Packers sent picks #53 and #59 to the Vikings.
Watson ripped through the NFL scouting combine and tested the charts in his 6-foot-4 frame by running a 4.36 40-yard dash. His breathtaking speed and ability to widen the field was the best receiver left on the board after completing the first round.
The Minnesota Vikings traded the rights to Jameson Williams to NFC Northern rivals Detroit Lions in the first round and subsequently allowed the Packers to give Aaron Rodgers a weapon he badly needs.
