Oscar fans target fake Will Smith after Chris Rock slaps

He was unjustly abused.
After Will Smith controversially slapped Chris Rock at the 2022 OscarsEnraged social media watchdogs flooded Will Smith’s verified Twitter timeline – a random twitch gamer and podcasters with the same name as the Oscar winner for best actor for “King Richard”.
Now, Smith’s wrongly accused digital double has decided to troll those who thought he was the Oscar-winning actor, racking up hundreds of thousands of likes on Twitter.
For those who have lived beneath a pop culture rock, the incident happened afterward Smith, 53 (the actor) hit the 57-year-old comedian for tears a divisive joke about his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, who is open about her ongoing battle with alopecia.
Needless to say, Will Smith, a previously little-known player with a blue tick, reacted quickly to the smackdown of his celebrity counterpart and tweeted, “puppy.”
“I’m sorry if you’re offended.” added Smith in a follow-up tweet.
The social media civilian even commented on how the viral Oscar incident stood out to him the segment “In Memoriam”, writing: “Hopefully all anyone remembers by the end of the show is that unduly upbeat ‘In Memoriam’ segment.”
“I’ll keep tweeting” Smith addedbefore retweeting a Follower who had joked “Everybody hates Chris.”
The comments came after an army of social media bozos mistook the player for the “Hancock” actor – despite his Twitter bio specifically mentioning that he’s “notthatwillsmith”.
“Bruh Control Your Anger Problems” tweeted a social media Sherlock Holmeswhy a Smith’s defense attorney replied“Bruh, learn to tweet the right person.”
Another Twitter investigator wrote, “I react to things all the time. Just get Asmon to host you and you’ll recover.”
Even legendary sports commentator Stephen A. Smith accidentally wrote civilian Will Smith on Twitter: “Please tell me I didn’t see what I just saw. Someone please tell me @will Smith joked and it was part of the show as he just clapped @chrisrock on national television.”
“I beg of you all… please don’t tell me @will Smith would do something like that???” he added.
Commentators have since regretted Smith’s mistaken identity with a fan whine“RIP your mentions.”
A Twitter joke was even specifically mentioned the fake Chris Rock jokingly, in writing “@Chris_Rock I think you two have to endure this.”
“I will if he apologizes to me personally.” replied Smithwhich now has 191,000 Twitter followers thanks to confusion with the “The Pursuit of Happyness” star.
“Yes, we really should.” chipped in the fake Chris Rock in question.

Smith has since clarified that he is not actually the “Men In Black” actor.
“Really speaking, I’m not the person you’re upset/happy with. I do podcasts and video games for a living,” he wrote. “At the risk of people getting mad at me instead of these other guys, the world would be a better place if we stopped responding to words with violence.”
