LONDON (Reuters) – Oscar-winning actress Olivia Colman attended the premiere of HBO’s new true-crime drama “Landscapers” in London on Tuesday.

A story about a quiet and humble English couple accused of murder, the series follows their sometimes surreal attempts to evade justice.

Colman plays Susan Edwards, who has been on the run with her husband, Christopher, played by David Thewlis, for 15 years.

When Christopher calls home to his stepmother, the pair’s role in a murder that has remained unexplored for more than a decade begins to come to light.

“It’s a love story based on real people, convicted murderers, so that can be a difficult angle to get into a drama. But it’s a particularly compelling story,” Thewlis told Reuters.

Talking about working with Colman, Thewlis said: “She is a comedian. She is just a wonderful, beautiful woman. I didn’t know her before. Apparently I already knew who she was before. I have seen all of her work. But it was a real pleasure to act with her. “

The miniseries was written by Ed Sinclair, Colman’s husband.

“Landscapers” will be released in the UK on Sky Atlantic on December 7.
