PEACEHAVEN’S non-league duel with Steyning was bizarrely interrupted when a PHEASANT invaded the pitch.
Guest star Mayckol Sabino was forced to chase the bird across the field, trying to shoo it away so the action could continue.

The Brazilian was surrounded by the pheasant before finally chasing him off the field.
It then flew into a small booth, startling local children.
The tired boys sprinted away as the pheasant flew their way.
All 277 fans present were confronted with the unusual incident.

It occurred when the score was 0-0 in non-league duel.
Steyning eventually took the lead in the second half as Josh Bradley scored his second goal in two games.
But their lead lasted just a minute when they were saved from the penalty spot.
Peacehaven’s Max Hollobone made no mistake from 12 yards, sending the ball down the middle for a 1-1 equaliser.
