NYCHA workers wounded in shooting at Brooklyn housing project

A groundsman for the city’s housing authority was injured in the crossfire in a shooting at a Brooklyn housing project on Thursday, police and law enforcement sources said.

The 33-year-old victim, a New York City Housing Authority worker, was struck in the right thigh at the Red Hook Houses on Columbia Street around 11 a.m. – sources told the Post he was just an innocent bystander.

He is being treated at the Methodist Hospital.

Police said another man was hit in the chest and leg during Thursday morning’s shooting and was listed in critical condition at the same hospital.

Police have not announced any arrests in the incident and the investigation is ongoing.
