She was taken to Jacobi Hospital where she died after undergoing surgery, her daughter Diana Nrcaj, 32, told The Post.

“She was a good, sweet woman. She was a very good, sweet woman,” Nrcaj said. “She didn’t deserve that. She was four steps from her home.”

Nrecaj said her father was upstairs at the family home when the accident happened and rushed into the street after hearing a bang.

“He was coming down the stairs and there was a gentleman in the building holding my mother until the emergency services came and arrived,” she said.

Frane Nrecaj, 71, said he knew straight away his 40-year-old wife wouldn’t make it.

Sall Arobye, 32, an Uber driver who lives across the street, helped get Nrecaj off the fence and assured her she would be fine.

“It’s awful. It’s awful,” he said. “I feel like I lied to her. She didn’t make it. It broke my heart.”

Arobye was led by Jada Bellamy, 35, a nurse who happened to be walking by and saw the car lose control and Nrecaj crashed into the fence.

“I held the lady’s hand,” Bellamy said on Saturday. “She had a big, big wound on her left elbow and blood was coming out [her stomach]. I knew she had internal bleeding right away, so I said, ‘Don’t move her.’ “

Neighbor Vanessa Gonzalez, 34, said she has known Nrecaj since birth.

“My heart is so broken,” Gonzalez said, calling her “a beautiful person” and “very kindhearted.”

“After my father died, she was an excellent friend to my mother,” Gonzalez said.

Outside the building, friends and family lit candles and laid flowers at a makeshift memorial on Saturday.

“It shouldn’t have happened to anyone, but it happened to us. I hope this never happens to anyone again,” said a family member.

Ashami said the driver told her husband “his brake fell off.”

Diana Nrcaj blamed the accident on a newly installed bike lane outside the building, protected by a row of parked cars, and said the configuration confused drivers.

“See? It looks like they’re double parked, doesn’t it? It puts people off. There’s never been an accident here. He probably jumped the curb,” she said.

The SUV driver boarded the curb after dodging to avoid a van that stopped at the intersection of Bronxdale and Cruger Avenues, sources said.

He was also brought to Jacobi in stable condition. According to the police, it was apparently an accident.

The SUV has 168 violations, including 20 for speeding in school zones, according to website How’s My Driving NY. NYC woman impaled on fence in freak accident dies from injuries
