NYC woman caught in crossfire between two groups in Manhattan

An innocent bystander was hit by a stray bullet while caught in the crossfire of a shooting that broke out in East Harlem Sunday night, police officers said.
A 43-year-old woman was shot in the leg near E. 132 Street and Madison Ave just before 7:30 p.m. Sunday night when two gangs exchanged gunfire, law enforcement sources say.
The woman was not believed to be an intended target.
She was taken to Harlem Hospital, where she was recovering Sunday night.
According to sources, police recovered 17 shell casings at the scene.
No arrests were made immediately as of Sunday night and the investigation is ongoing.
