Northbound lanes of 610 East Loop were closed in Clinton after an accident involving two heavy trucks

On Thursday, TxDOT said crews were working to clear the scene of the accident involving two heavy trucks in the northbound lanes of 610 East Loop on Clinton Drive. Diesel fuel was spilled onto the road during the accident, TxDOT told ABC13.
All major lanes were closed while crews worked to clean up the spill. TxDOT says this closure will last for hours.
SkyEye was over the scene where traffic appeared to be backed up for miles and traffic was veering into a side lane.

The cause of the crash was initially unknown.
