Northbound lanes of 610 East Loop were closed in Clinton after an accident involving two heavy trucks

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) – Drivers along the East Loop in Clinton can expect heavy traffic security as crews work to clear the scene of a serious accident and hazmat spill.

On Thursday, TxDOT said crews were working to clear the scene of the accident involving two heavy trucks in the northbound lanes of 610 East Loop on Clinton Drive. Diesel fuel was spilled onto the road during the accident, TxDOT told ABC13.

All major lanes were closed while crews worked to clean up the spill. TxDOT says this closure will last for hours.
