Norah O’Donnell extends contract with CBS News: reports

News anchor Norah O’Donnell and CBS have reached an agreement that will allow her to stay behind the news desk beyond the 2024 presidential election, sources say.

The longtime anchor reportedly shared the news on Friday night during a toast with producers at the CBS News facility in Washington, DC. by variety.

The spokeswoman for CBS and O’Donnell dismissed Variety Appointment request for comment.

O’Donnell’s reported poor attitude and low ratings led to reports that CBS co-president Neeraj Khemlani was interested in shaking up the station’s roster. When her contract ended in the spring, CBS News reportedly reached out to the competition to see if they wanted to join the network’s daytime programming.

Her diva-like demeanor was also bad for editors’ morale.

“There was an incident at the studio last year where she was ranting about her bronzer being fake,” an insider told The Post last month, noting that her hair and makeup staff are taking the brunt of her tantrums and for it tears are known.
