LAFAYETTE, La. (AP) – Levi Lewis scored on a career-high 56-yard run and crossed for another touchdown, and Louisiana-Lafayette’s 20 soon surpassed Florida coach Billy Napier’s time with Ragin ‘Cajuns by beating the Appalachian State 24-16 in the Sun Belt Conference championship game. Emani Baily ran for 117 yards, including a touchdown from 35 yards to give the Cajuns a two-touch lead in the fourth half. Lewis crossed 210 yards without a turnover and finished with a quick 43 yards as Louisiana-Lafayette extended its school winning record to 12 games. Cameron Pe People’s runs for 43 yards for the Appalachian State.
