Newcastle’s misery against Leicester’s Youri Tielemans marks a major milestone in style

Newcastle remain deep in the relegation issue following a 4-0 loss to Leicester on Sunday.

Youri Tielemans attack twice when the Foxes recover from Europa League exit after previous failure Napoli on Thursday night.

Tielemans converted a penalty to put Leicester ahead just before half-time, before Patson Daka finished a deep move to add a second in the 57th minute.

James Maddison Founds Tielemans, 100th Premier League appeared, again with nine minutes left before the England midfielder scored himself late in the game.

The defeat leaves Newcastle second from the bottom of the table, three points from safety, while Leicester climb to eighth.

In Sunday’s late game, Conor Gallagher double record Crystal Palace beat Everton 3-1 at Selhurst Park.

Midfielder Gallagher, on loan from Chelsea, broke the deadlock four minutes before half-time, finishing in a Jordan Ayew pass later. Demarai Grey gave ownership on the edge of the Everton area.

Focus again James Tomkins Doubled Crystal Palace’s lead in the 61st minute when he hit the post from a corner.

To replace Salomon Rondon helped Everton save the day with 21 minutes left, but Gallagher scored a superb goal in the second minute of stoppage time to give the Eagles the win.

Before that, Burnley had earned a point closer to stretching themselves out of the relegation zone after a goalless draw before West Ham in Turf Moor.

Goalkeeper Claret Nick Pope saved well to refuse Issa Diop and Benrahma spoke for half of the afternoon resenting the Hammers.

David Moyes’ men are still 4th – but are now just one point ahead of Manchester United, while Burnley are 18th, two points behind Watford and a game in hand.
