In a game with many ups and downs, the New York Yankees fought back and defeated the Indians in game two to enter ALDS against the Rays.

After two protracted rain delays in game two, the Yankees soon failed after that Masahiro Tanaka allows four earned runs, forcing the Yankees to play from behind early. Tanaka will then be pulled in the fifth round after allowing six earned runs, three walks, and five hits.
However, four of those runs, four hits, and one of those walks were abandoned in the first inning. Game one of ALDS will be on Monday, October 5, presumably with Gerrit Cole on the mound for the Yankees, and Blake Snell for the Rays in the first installment of the best series of the year.
