New York prostitute sentenced to 30 years for murdering four men

A Queens prostitute was sentenced Tuesday to 30 years in prison for drugging Cipriani Dolci chef Andrea Zamperoni and three other clients in 2019.

Angelina Barini, 43, pleaded guilty in August to distributing fentanyl to several men and the “date rape” drug GBL to zemperoni to rob incapacitated clients.

US District Judge Brian Cogan, who delivered the verdict in federal court in Brooklyn, said the seductress’ shocking crimes “call for punishment,” despite a troubled family history and a raging drug addiction that “robbed her of her free will.”

“There’s no downside from parenting that can mitigate what you’ve done here… Drug addiction or no drug addiction, something has to happen,” Cogan said.

Barini cried several times during the sentencing hearing and appeared in her blue prison jumpsuit with streaks of blonde showing at the ends of her long brown hair.

A cousin of one of her victims spoke before the sentencing hearing and said she had no sympathy for Barini.

“I understand that she doesn’t have a good history,” the cousin said. “I don’t have a good history. It’s not an excuse. She killed four people… She deserves what she’s getting.”

The victim went to school with plans to work in construction, she said.

“You ruined that. I don’t forgive you,” said the cousin, her voice trembling with emotion. “We were best friends. She took that away. She took that away. I don’t feel sorry for you.”

Andrea Zamperoni
Angelina Barini is said to have pushed the body of Cipriani chef Andrea Zamperoni into a bin after giving him a “date rape” drug.

Prosecutors alleged Barini dosed victims with fentanyl on multiple occasions during the summer of 2019, killing the robbery three times in July and August in Astoria, Woodside and College Point.

Barini was also accused of giving the rape drug to Zamperoni, who died August 18 at an Elmhurt motel. The sex worker had attempted to dispose of the body by wrapping it in sheets soiled with bleach and stuffing his body in a trash can, police said.

Barini’s older sister, posing as Sally, told the Post she thinks the verdict was “a little harsh” and plans to appeal.

“I think what wasn’t taken into account, of course, was that what happened was wrong, but the victims put themselves into it,” Sally said. “They weren’t saints. They went with her. They wanted to party and they wanted to do drugs and have sex with her. It wasn’t like she was putting a gun to someone’s head and forcing them to go with her.”

The older sister said Barini was a drug addict who got involved with the wrong people.

“This is a federal case, but the government can sit by and let hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens cross the border with fentanyl every day,” she said. “Hundreds of thousands of people are dying from it… and they’re sitting there and pretending they don’t have a part in it.” New York prostitute sentenced to 30 years for murdering four men
