New Silent Hill: Everything We Know From Leaked Images, Rumours, Hideo Kojima & More

Leaks and reports all seem to indicate that a new Silent Hill game could finally be on the way. 10 years after the last entry, we’ve compiled all the information we know about a possible new Silent Hill game.

Silent Hill helped shape the horror genre and introduced players to a whole new world of fear and trepidation. With its ability to convey the most unsettling mood and a plethora of twisted and terrifying enemies, the early games captivated players from the start.

As the name of the later entries changed, so did his approach to gameplay. Silent Hill: Homecoming and Silent Hill: Downpour did their best to change the formula, but in doing so alienated longtime fans of the game. As a result, we haven’t had a new Silent Hill title in a decade.

The failed PT / Silent Hills project looked like the final straw, but new reports and evidence suggest we may be getting a new Silent Hill game after all.

Silent Hill Leaks & Rumors

The ball really got rolling for a potential new Silent Hill game on May 13, 2022, when a trusted game leaker called Dusk Golem shared a lot of information about a potential new Silent Hill project through tweets.

“There’s a lot I don’t share right now. This is from a relatively new source to me, but I’ve had more than enough evidence to believe them. I will also mention the names “Anita & Maya”, “Text Messages” and this is not the only SH game in development. The recordings are a bit older, from 2020, maybe this project looks a little different now. but [this is] what i share I know many will doubt this, but I have plenty of private evidence to prove this is real and as always, I continue to await the Silent Hill game reveal.”

Alongside those two tweets, Dusk Golem also included four images that weren’t visible because they were removed in response to a copyright claim. As if that wasn’t enough, the leaker was officially a DMCA from Konami over the images.

This would suggest that those leaked screenshots were in fact Konamis and Dusk Golem, which another user confirmed: “I promise you every Silent Hill leak I’ve said about is 100% true.”

Things get even more interesting as the original images still exist online, especially on a forum where not only the pictures were shownbut Dusk Golem also revealed more information about the ongoing development of a Silent Hill game.

Is Hideo Kojima involved with Silent Hill?

The project’s existence reached a new level on May 17, 2022, when Brazilian actress Fadile Waked commented on rumors about her involvement in the Silent Hill project in her Instagram story: “Wowww. I keep getting messages and my pics have been leaked everywhere! I am now curious to test the new Silent Hill.”

The images she alludes to courtesy Fcreewsinclude one of her standing next to a person resembling the character of Hideo Kojima.

It’s no secret that Hideo Kojima was associated with the Silent Hills project and was disappointed when the project fell through amid an allegedly ongoing dispute with Konami.

Information of this nature would probably be fairly classified and secure, so it remains to be seen how true some of it is. We’ll of course update this as we learn more.

While Silent Hill’s future isn’t concrete, we don’t know much about many other upcoming video games:
