New “Pokémon” discovered in upcoming TCG and fans love it immediately

The Pokemon Company revealed some of the cards in the upcoming TCG set, and one features what looks like a “new Pokemon” that fans are already in love with.
With Pokemon Scarlet & Violet just a few months away, fans of the series are dying to see what they have in store. We’ve already seen leaks claiming to be new Pokemon, which were met with mixed reception.
We probably won’t see many of Scarlet & Violet’s new Pokemon until release gets much closer. With the exception of Meltan and Melmetal, new Pokémon are introduced with each new generation.
However, The Pokemon Company has just released the artwork for some of the cards coming to the TCG later this year. One of the cards appears to feature a new creature that fans will love immediately, but is it real?

The new Spiritomb card in an upcoming TCG set has a touch that looks like a new Pokemon
Spiritiny, the random Pokemon
Some of the new Character Rare cards in the upcoming set feature Pokémon as they appear in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. The one that’s got everyone’s attention is Spiritomb, who has a few strands floating off her body.
One of the wisps is behind two orbs of dark energy that look like two big googly eyes. Of course, this wasn’t supposed to look like a new Pokemon, but fans desperately wish it did.
In response to a tweet from Serebi’s Joe Merrick, fans expressed their admiration for the random Pokemon. Several screenshots of this part of the map were posted, and the community even agreed on a name: Spiritiny.
This spawned fan art and fake Pokedex entries claiming Spiritiny was Spiritomb’s baby form. And just like in Legends Arceus, they can evolve into their mythical predecessor if enough Spiritiny are collected.

Spiritiny, the will-o’-the-wisp Pokémon. When a Spirtomb’s Odd Keystone starts to break a little too much, Spiritiny can escape and go in search of their own Odd Keystone. These helpful ghost/fairy Pokémon are kind enough to guide lost travelers through swamps and dark forests. pic.twitter.com/AlQ3gaHpy5

It is very likely that this is just an oversight in the card’s design and Spiritiny will join the ever-growing pool of Fakemon. But it’s not too far-fetched to consider the will-o’-the-wisps that make up Spiritomb as their Pokemon, either.
