New Jersey Road Rage survivor Morgan Scott speaks out about the attack

A New Jersey woman who was seriously injured when a fender bender escalated into a gruesome street rage attack remains shocked by the incident, she said in a new interview from her hospital bed.

Morgan Scott, 23, was driving to work at the City of Elizabeth in April when her car was hit by a silver Mitsubishi SUV in what initially appeared to be a harmless incident.

But then the other driver, Vincent Jean, 56, suddenly drove his vehicle to Scott’s after she got out of her car to investigate the scene, authorities said.

He is accused of running over Scott multiple times as she tried to flee across the lawn of a nearby house, with the shocking scene captured on video as onlookers screamed in horror.

“I definitely think he’s a danger to society,” Scott told Inside Edition on Friday while recovering from numerous injuries at the Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation.

Jean has been charged with attempted murder and is scheduled to appear in court again in June.

The attack left Scott with traumatic injuries, including a fractured femur, fractured ribs on both sides and a broken neck in three separate places, the report said. Both of her knees were split open, her liver was torn and she now has to protect her face from the sun because of road rashes. Scott also required surgery to place a rod in her leg.

The SUV suddenly sped toward her after she got out of her own car to take photos of his license plate, the victim told Inside Edition.

“I was able to dodge, but I was shocked that that happened,” Scott said. “I tried to run because I was like, ‘What’s going on?’ Let me take my shoes off ’cause I was wearing heels at the same time. One of them couldn’t fully disengage and I fell.”

Then, after tripping over a meadow while fleeing, Jean’s SUV ran over her limp body several times.

“When it comes to my family and my friends, they’re there for me and I want to be there for them,” said Scott, who burst into tears during the interview.
