New footage of Tyson Fury’s KO dismisses Dillian Whyte’s claims he banged his head on the screen after being shoved by a rival

A NEW video of Tyson Fury’s knockout of Dillian Whyte contradicts the body snatcher’s claim that he slammed his head on the canvas after falling to the ground.

Whyte, 33, was eliminated in the sixth round his fight against the world heavyweight champion.

He has since complained about Mark Lyson’s refereeing, claiming he was put down by him Fury after the Gypsy King landed a powerful uppercut.

That hit was enough to end the competition but Whyte argued he could not continue because his head hit the canvas hard as he was dropped.

But footage shows that no contact was made between Whyte’s head and the ring floor – and therefore Fury’s jab after landing the uppercut was inconsequential.

In response to seeing the new footage social media User wrote: “Honestly, I really didn’t expect that from Dillian (Whyte). He really should have been less vocal in the past because he looks silly with those excuses.”

Another added: “It’s like no one could take the fact that he was crushed by an egg shaped fat man. That’s why Fury opponents always find excuses.”

A third said: “One of the worst excuses I’ve seen from a fighter.”

Fan reaction came in response Whyte complains about the end of the fight earlier this week.

He told Sky Sports: “The uppercut has landed, I was excited but when I tried to collect my senses it really pushed me.

“I fell and hit my head on the canvas, which is illegal, this is not wrestling, this is boxing.

“But I should have given myself more time to recover and then I should have kept fighting.

“Then he pushed me and went to the referee, ‘Don’t let the fight go on.’ It’s like the referee isn’t doing his job.

“Okay I got caught, no doubt, good shot, I took the left uppercut, he took the right uppercut, he’s a bit taller than me.

“He landed within range, obviously I was hurt but I didn’t go straight down, I was hurt trying to gather my senses and then he nudged me with two handfuls.

“It wasn’t like one arm, he pushed me with two hands, I fell and hit my head. Terrible work of the referee there. But it is what it is.

“I should have been given time to recover or go back to my corner.

“But I don’t know, Tyson Fury gets away with a lot of things.”
