Neighborhood boss hopes to reunite Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan for Aussie soap’s farewell

NEIGHBORS bosses are planning to reunite superstars Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan for the ax soap’s farewell.
Jason, 53 years old, who plays Scott Robinson, told show executives he will be flying to Melbourne in April and potentially filming a dramatic comeback.
But he wanted to be joined by pop princess Kylie, 53, who played his wife Charlene.
A confirmed source bosses are doing everything they can to make that happen.
The Sun on Sunday can reveal Ian Smith, 83, has agreed to return as Harold Bishop and will start filming next month.
Soap boss also contact Hollywood superstar Guy Pearce54 years old, who plays Mike Young.
Annie Jones, 55, who played love interest Jane Harris in the 1980s, returns in 2018.
Last week we revealed that Australian soap – which has been on Channel 5 since 2008 – will go down after the network was unable to reach an agreement with producer Freemantle.
A source said: “One thing’s for sure, Neighbors will come out with a bang.
“It’s been an emotional week for everyone.
“There have been a lot of tears but the cast and crew are more determined than ever to finish at a real high.”
They added: “Bosses have spoken to Jason, who has theoretically agreed to return.
“Kylie has always been a huge supporter of the show – they’re just waiting for a response.”
In 1988, nearly 20 million people in the UK watched Scott marry Charlene.
Jason and Kylie also dated, and the two started their pop careers, winning No.1 with Special For You.
