Naples thief Ulta returns to the crime scene

NAPLES, Fla. – A man accused of stealing nearly $1,000 worth of perfume at Naples Ulta last week returned to the same store Wednesday and was immediately arrested.

Secretaries recognized Leroy Minnis as the man who walked away with $944 for the designer scent on January 19.

He returned to the same store on Wednesday, even wearing the same outfit.

Officers called the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, who arrived and arrested Minnis before he could leave the store.

When questioned by the delegates, Minnis gave a false name. He was also charged with using a fake credit card to buy more perfume and a luxury handbag. The total amount of the fraudulent purchase was $2,436.65.

Minnis, who lives in Miami, faces charges of grand theft, obstruction and giving false information to law enforcement.
