NAACP celebrates popular minority promotions at LCSO

FORT MYERS, Fla. – Today, the local chapter of the NAACP celebrated an important achievement.
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office promoted two minority law enforcement officers to senior positions.
Travis Hicks was promoted to captain, where he would oversee the Internal Affairs department. Captain Hicks became the first African-American to run the division.
Nora Galloway was promoted to lieutenant, also of the IA branch.
Lieutenant Galloway was the first Hispanic woman to be promoted to lieutenant in the IA division.
