What was Sean Milliken’s cause of death?

Sean Milliken died at a Texas hospital after suffering medical complications from an infection, aged just 29.

“On Sunday he had problems with his breathing, they were able to revive him and a short time later his heart stopped,” wrote his father Matt on Facebook.

He added his son is a “good man” with a “good heart”.

In the course of his weight loss journey, Sean lost over 400 pounds.

When was Sean Milliken in My 600-lb Life?

When Sean arrived on Season 4 of the TLC hit medical reality series My 600-lb Life, he weighed a total of 919 pounds and was only 26 years old.

He starred on the show in 2016 and couldn’t stand for more than 30 seconds at a time.

The clinically obese young man told the show: “Every day when I wake up I have to face the reality of what my life has become.

“I’m so big now, I can hardly move. All I can do by myself is crawl to the end of my bed, go to the bathroom and see if my mom is awake.

“I can stand up, but I can only walk a few steps, so I’ll just stay here in this bed no matter what,” he explained. “I can’t do anything for myself anymore.”

Sean was the heaviest patient in the series’ history.

Where is Sean Milliken’s mother?

Sean has struggled with his weight since childhood and used food as a comfort to get through his parents’ divorce.

However, the weight he accumulated left him bedridden and dependent on his mother’s care.

His mother, Renee, did not help the situation – she often provided him with the food he was looking for.

She was one of the main reasons Sean couldn’t maintain his lighter weight on the show.

Every time he was released from the hospital after losing weight, he regained some of it because he was at home with his mother.

However, after the death of his mother due to kidney failure, Sean found it extremely difficult to maintain his health.

Due to numerous, extreme fluctuations in weight over the years on the show, Sean eventually died.
