Moonfall: Mark Kermode fans are now desperate to see it after the critic’s hilarious ‘praise’ for ‘the dumbest movie ever’

Movie fans are flocking to see a new “terrible” movie after Mark Kermode called it “the dumbest thing” he had ever seen.

The film critic teased his fans on Thursday (February 3) that he was “surprised and a bit impressed” by how bad it was.

This made many people wonder what movie he might be talking about – it turned out to be Falling Moonlatest horror movies from Independence Day, The day after tomorrow and 2012 manager Roland Emmerich.

“Having been a film critic for over thirty years, I’m surprised – and a little impressed? — to say I just paid a hefty sum to see the dumbest movie I’ve ever seen,” he wrote. “And remember, I saw Sharknado. ”

His full review of Falling Moon arrives on Friday (4 February), broadcast as part of his BBC Radio 5 live show with Simon Mayo.

Just as his fans had come to expect, it evoked a big quote that was called “one of the best I’ve seen in a while”.

When he re-evaluated the film, he called the film “radioactive mute”, adding: “My brain turned to sewage and was flowing out of my ears.”

After the review video was added to the show’s official YouTube page, one fan added, “This is the most enjoyable thing I’ve had while watching one of the Kermode reviews.”

However, instead of his extremely negative review driving people away from the movie, it had the opposite effect and they are now even more convinced to actually watch it.
