Montgomery County: Cars stuck overnight at Gessner and I-10 intersection after severe weather flooded streets

Around 3 a.m., the storms knocked out power for about 15,000 people in the Houston area and Montgomery County.
ABC13 spoke to a man, Bryan Heffington, who saw people get out of cars and try to get help.

Heffington was supporting a woman whose husband was across the street and could not come together.
“The woman was in trouble and was quite sad. She came to us with tears in her eyes, ‘can we use your phone?’ and of course we let her use our phones,” said Heffington.
In less than 30 minutes, more than 2 inches of rain fell.
