TERRIBLE images show a great white shark stalking a beach minutes after a woman was brutalized.
The 20-year-old was in the waters off Australia sailing in an inflatable swimming pool about 200 meters off the coast when the 11ft tall predator dug his teeth into her.
She managed to swim to shore where locals cared for her before she was taken to hospital in Perth.
But just half an hour after the attack, the great white shark was spotted lurking near shore in clear waters near Wylie Bay, near Esperance, Western Australia. news.com.au report.
Local Barry Brown said he and his brothers anxiously watched her drift about half an hour before the attack.
“She seems to be getting deeper and deeper and deeper,” Mr Brown told ABC.
“Then we actually see a number under [pool ring] and we’re not sure if it’s a dolphin or what it is.
He said the woman waved her hand and began to swim calmly on her back, with one hand at her hip, back to shore.
“The shark actually circled a few laps and then went back into the blue sea.”
Mr Brown said there was a long streak of blood in the water and he was worried the shark would return when he went out to help her.
When he was about 20 yards away, he said he picked her up and ran back to the beach as fast as he could so his girlfriend could meet them.
“We wrapped her in a towel, in one motion, put her in the back of the car and then took her straight to the hospital.”
The attack took place in the notorious Esperance area, which has seen several fatal shark attacks in recent years.
Local authorities said the state’s shark response unit was investigating and urged beachgoers to be careful.
At the end of January, the video shows a great white shark walk around an island where a group of swimmers ran aground.
The monster was quickly vocalized to warn those swimming ashore, and some on the island were able to rush to Twilight Beach, Esperance.
In November last year, Brit’s father Paul Millachip, 57, was in the waters off Western Australia when he pulled underwater by a large white 14ft.
Since 2017, three people have been killed by sharks in the Esperance area.
