MoMa stabbing: 2 women stabbed to death at NYC’s Museum of Modern Art; suspect probably former employees

NEW YORK — Two women, believed to be employees, were stabbed to death at New York’s Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) on Saturday, police and sources said.

The stabbings occurred around 4:15 p.m. ET at the iconic Midtown Manhattan Museum.

Both victims were taken to the hospital and are unlikely to die, officials said.

Sources told ABC News that the attacker was likely a former MoMA employee who stabbed two former employees. Neither the suspect nor the identity of the victims have been released.

Police continued their search for the suspect on Saturday afternoon.

Videos on social media show a police presence outside the 53rd Street building.
