Players are already asking if the Time to kill in Modern Warfare 2 is too short. Call of Duty TTK is a topic that has been hotly debated in the community with each new game in the series for over a decade. So it’s no surprise that some people are finding that Modern Warfare 2 TTK makes them die faster than they think they should.
Is the Modern Warfare 2 TTK too low?
There are a lot of variables that go into Modern Warfare 2 TTK. Each weapon has different damage and handling characteristics, and some are more powerful than others. To make matters worse, there’s still work to be done to balance the game for launch. So there’s a very real possibility that TTK isn’t where it should be yet.
However, players must also take into account that movement has changed in this game as well. So even if you’ve just spent the past year playing Vanguard every day, it’s going to take a while to get used to the subtle changes to sprinting, sliding, and speed. All of this can affect your overall performance more than you realize.
We don’t have exact stats for TTK yet, but the Infinity Ward games are trending towards lower numbers. Modern Warfare (2019) average TTK is 184ms, and that’s probably about what we’re seeing in the beta. So if you feel it’s too low, leave feedback now so developers can make adjustments before launch.
