MLB The Show 22: How to Get Stubs

MLB The Show 22 brings back the popular Diamond Dynasty mode where players can build a team of new and old players. Here’s how to create stubs and build the best possible team.

The show is back and like every year it’s time to compete to be the best possible Diamond Dynasty team. To assemble an impressive team, you must collect as many Stubs as possible, The Show’s in-game currency.

As with every iteration of The Show, there are tons of different ways to collect stubs. Here are the main ways to start collecting the stubs.

Faces of the franchise program

The main program in MLB The Show 22 is the Faces of the Franchise program. This program provides players with XP milestones to mark their efforts in the game and earns you free rewards such as packs, players, and random Face of the Franchise cards.

To progress in XP and start earning these rewards, complete the Faces of the Franchise tasks under the progress tracker, such as: B. Daily Moments and Featured Program Moments.

If you want to quickly grind for XP, way to the fair is a great way to do this. Lowering the difficulty won’t penalize the XP you get from playing games in single player, so drop that difficulty and start hitting some home runs.

Complete Collections

MLB The Show 22 offers players rewards based on completing specific card collections. There are the Starter Collections, Live Series Collections, Legends & Flashbacks, and many more.

First, complete the starting collections for basic stubs and free packages. These are easy to complete and only require the most basic cards. Below are all of the starter collections that you need to complete, and redeeming them will allow you to increase your starting stub count.

MLB The Show 22 has tons of collections to complete.

After completing the easy collections, go to the live series Collections and see which teams you’ve started winning players for. Completing collections on each team has rewards that grant stubs, and fully completing each squad grants you a special player card from that team. Starting with the lower teams, like the Orioles and the Pirates, it will be easier since their best player cards are cheaper to get on the marketplace.

Within the live series is the Free Agents Collection. This is a fantastic way to get stubs, since acquiring Free Agent cards on the Marketplace is incredibly cheap and the rewards are quite high.

community market

Flipping cards on MLB The Show 22’s community marketplace is still a great way to earn stubs, and it’s not at all difficult to manipulate the marketplace to make it work for you.

Here’s an easy way to get a specific card without paying too much:

  1. Open the marketplace
  2. Choose filter and search for the player
  3. Choose Buy/Sell Optionsthen click Obtain
  4. Choose Create purchase order and set the price to exactly 1 less than the current lowest listing

Usually, your buy order will be filled very quickly after you create it, as players are constantly buying and selling cards on the marketplace.

You can also view the listings for a card directly from the Collections page by simply selecting that card, saving you from scrolling through a million menus.

Flipping cards in the community market is a solid way to create stubs, but it will take time.

Buying low and selling high is the name of the game when trying to make a profit in the community market. There are sites like ShowZone, which monitors the best cards on a daily basis to flip them and turn them into quick stubs.

stub prices

Another way to make stubs is to just buy them with real money. The good thing about investing money in The Show is that you can just buy cards in the market with stubs that you get for cash, rather than in competitive modes like FIFA Ultimate Team where you can only buy packs with cash, in the Hope you get the cards you want.

If you don’t want to buy Stubs with real money then you absolutely don’t have to as there are tons of ways to make a good team without pumping money into the game. If you’re looking to buy packs of the stubs you’ve purchased, be careful as San Diego Studio doesn’t have a quality pack or duplication protection, meaning there’s a chance you could rip 50 packs and end up not having a single diamond.

Here are all the stub prices:

  • 1,000 stubs: £0.99 / $0.99.
  • 5,000 stubs: £3.99 / $4.99.
