Miranda Hart denies reports of new Miranda episodes on the way: ‘Nothing planned at this time’

Miranda Hart has denied reports that her sitcom is planning another season miranda.

The actress and comedian wrote and starred in the BBC sitcom from 2009 until its end in 2015. Her character, also known as Miranda, was the owner of a joke shop and boutique.

In the last episode, Miranda finally married the longtime object of her affections, restaurant chef Gary (Tom Ellis).

Hart was recently quoted by The Devon Life to have written a fourth season of the comedy that revitalizes the beloved cast of characters.

However, on Monday (April 25), Hart denied the reports in a message posted to social media.

“It’s so nice when some people are happy that there might be more miranda‘ the message began. “Means a lot. But I’m afraid what was in the newspapers today is not mine.”

She closed the note by confirming that “nothing is planned at this time,” and signing off with an orange heart emoji.

Along with the news, the actress explained that she is clarifying the reports for those who are fans of the program.

Hart added, “I’m looking forward to all the ‘thank god’ etc! That [is] only for the few who were excited. You don’t have to tell me you’re relieved.”

In response, miranda Fans shared their disappointment on social media. “No! I was so looking forward to more #Miranda episodes,” one supporter wrote, while another said, “Aww Miranda there are so many of us who are huge fans and would love to see the show return one day!”
