Here are some notable nuggets that happened during the Mets spring training action on Wednesday:

Alex Claudio, who was fighting for a spot in the Mets bullpen, scored a scoreless eighth with a strikeout in his team’s 5-3 loss to the Astros in 10 innings at Clover Park. Left winger Claudio did not allow a run in four appearances this spring.

Brandon Nimmo went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts from the leadoff court and saw his Grapefruit League batting average drop to a .182.

I noticed

Starling Marte stole second base in the first inning. It was his second straight game with a stolen base.
