Meghan Markle is silenced again.
The Duchess of Sussex’s new podcast Archetypes is being put on hold amid international mourning for the Queen who passed away on September 8.
The podcast “is suspended during the official period of mourning for Her Majesty the Queen,” according to the official Spotify page.
The Queen’s funeral is scheduled for September 19 at Westminster Abbey.
Markle – wife of the Queen’s grandson Prince Harry – launched the podcast in August with a mission to “dive into the labels trying to hold women back”.
So far she has interviewed Serena Williams, Mariah Carey and Mindy Kaling.
“Archetypes” currently sits at number two on the Spotify charts – and dethroned Joe Rogan’s “The Joe Rogan Experience” from the number one spot the week it was released.
Markle was not with Queen Elizabeth II when the monarch died last week at the age of 96. Their relationship has been complicated — it started off on the right foot when the former ‘Suits’ actress entered royal orbit in 2017, but became strained when she and Harry sat down for an explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021.
Markle and Prince Harry stepped down as senior royals and left the UK for California the year before.
The royal family – which at the time included Prince Charles, Prince William and the Queen – were reportedly “reddened with rage” for not receiving the proper warning, the Post previously reported.
According to reports, Harry’s father and brother reportedly learned about the split from the news.
However, Markle was present alongside Harry, his brother Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton during the Queen’s funeral events – and still broke royal protocol.
