Meat Loaf’s daughter says the star was still joking in his final moments

MeatloafAmanda Aday’s daughter has reflected on how her late father was still joking hours before his death.

Legendary singer of hits like “I’d Do Anything for Love (But I Won’t Do It)” and “Dead Ringer for Love”, died at the age of 74 on January 20.

A post on his official Facebook page read: “Our hearts are broken to announce that one-of-a-kind Meat Loaf passed away tonight with his wife Deborah at his side. Daughter Pearl and Amanda and close friends have been with him for the past 24 hours…

“We know how much he means to so many of you and we truly appreciate all the love and support as we get through this traumatic time of the loss. go such an inspirational beautiful man and artist.

“We thank you for your understanding of our privacy needs at this time. From his heart to yours… never stop shaking! ”

Amanda, a 41-year-old actress, told Everyone: “As soon as we could, we went to his bedside and just sat with him and held his hand.”

She said that the musician is in good spirits. “He exposed a few of us, which was very fatherly, very appropriate. That is a good sign. He is there. He’s joking.”

While Meat Loaf’s cause of death has not been revealed, it is reported that he was seriously ill with Covid-19 in the days before his death.


Deborah, wife of Meat Loaf, also told the magazine: “I feel grief over the loss of my husband. I lay close to Michael as he took his last breath and my sadness cannot be expressed in words.

“I always call him by his first name because I don’t consider him ‘Meat’. I feel so grateful for the love I have received from all over the world. ”
