MCDONALD’S is introducing Chicken Big Mac by swapping its iconic beef patty for two crispy fillets – complete with signature sauce.
The burgers will be on the menus of 1,300 McDonald’s restaurants in the UK from February 2.
But fans only have until March 15 to order from the fast food giant.
The chicken version is 50p more expensive than the classic Big Mac, which costs £3.59, but prices vary across branches.
That’s £4.09 for a sandwich or £5.59 for a medium meal with fries and a drink – you can buy big for £5.99.
It also has more calories at 544kcal, compared to the Big Mac at 508.
The Big Mac has been on UK menus since 1974.
Chicken Big Mac is already on menus in Australia – but this is the first time it has been sold in the UK.
Customers were able to Make Homemade Chicken Big Mac by ordering two chicken mayo sandwiches and making their own burgers.
The Double Big Mac will be back on the UK menu on the same day next month.
Mozzarella and Chocolate Galaxy and salted caramel McFlurries will also return.
Last year, the fast-food chain angered fans by removing the chicken legend from its menu, and it’s finally back.
Last month, McDonald’s also launched McPlant, made with meat-free and vegan cheeses, is offered to all of its restaurants.
McDonald’s confirmed yesterday that it is popular two-course axis on the menu – bagels and breakfast packs.
But it does hint that there will be new additions this year, though it doesn’t say what that might be.
