Massive police presence shuts down major Raleigh intersection

RALEIGH, NC (WNCN) — A heavy police presence closed an intersection in Raleigh Thursday afternoon.

The area where the police are located is at the intersection of New Bern Avenue and N. New Hope Road. At 12:40 p.m., at least 12 marked Raleigh Police Department cruisers and a Wake County ambulance were at the scene.

The intersection was cordoned off with crime scene tape, according to video from a North Carolina Department of Transportation camera.
