Maryland officials call for increased shootings to prevent winter surge – CBS Baltimore

ANNAPOLIS, Md (WJZ) – Governor Larry Hogan announced that Maryland has passed the milestone of 10 million COVID-19 vaccinations performed.
“We are now on our 10 millionth vaccine,” said Governor Hogan, “which is an incredible milestone and a tribute to all the healthcare heroes who work every day to more people get vaccinated and improve their health,” said Governor Hogan.

State officials are urging all eligible residents to get booster shots to stop the spread of the Omicron variant.

90.8 percent of Marylanders 18 years of age and older received at least one dose of the vaccine. The state of Maryland has also administered more than one million booster shots.
Reports also show that 29.1% of children aged 5-11 have been vaccinated.
