Mark Brown, 40, charged with the murder of SECOND woman, who disappeared on the street 6 months ago when he ‘killed the mother of two’

A MAN accused of killing a mother of two who disappeared without a trace in November is facing a second murder charge.
As Mark Brown, 40, today denies killing Alexandra Morgan, it may be revealed that he has also been charged with the murder of Leah Ware, who had gone missing six months earlier.
Both women disappeared from the Hastings area of East Sussex last year and neither of their bodies were found.
Alexandra, a 34-year-old dog groomer, was last seen at a gas station at 7:20 a.m. on November 14.
She has also been seen driving between her homes in Sissinghurst, Kent, and Hastings, East Sussex.
The mother has had no contact with her family, which police say is “completely disqualifying”.
An investigation into her disappearance by detectives from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Bureau then turns into a murder investigation.
Brown, of St Leonards, was arrested and then charged with her murder a few weeks later.
Appearing at Lewes Crown Court via video link from HMP Belmarsh in south London today, he spoke only to confirm his name and enter his not guilty plea.
But at the brief hearing, he was also accused of killing Leah.
The 33-year-old is the subject of a missing person appeal as police intensify their hunt for her.
Police said she was unable to contact friends and family, and revealed that she had health problems.
In December, Chief Inspector Sarah Godley said: “We are increasingly concerned about Leah’s welfare.
“Leah, who has health issues and may not have access to her medication, has been out of touch with family and friends for a while.”
Wearing a gray sweater and gray jogging pants, Brown pleaded not guilty to murdering Alexandra.
He pleaded not guilty to killing Leah around May 7 of last year.
Both women are described as about 5ft 6in tall, slim, with long brown hair.
Gas station attendant and best friend Rose McAuley was one of the last people to see Alex as she filled up her white Mini engine.
The 32-year-old, who has been a friend of Alex for 17 years, said: “She’s accomplished more than I’ve ever seen her.
“And she came very early, unlike her. Alex seems to be in a good mood.”
Alex, 5ft 6in tall with shoulder-length brown hair, was last seen wearing a green quilted knee-length coat, black shirt and ripped blue jeans.
She also wears black knee-high boots and a silver necklace.
