“No…I think in that situation I was so relieved to finally find a way out,” Moore explained. “I had no other idea of how the world would perceive me as just ‘divorced’ with my identity or whatever.”

Shepard pointed out that if her parents had stayed married, there might have been a different “layer” to how she would have felt after the divorce announcement.
“I wonder if they would have stayed married, if I would have married,” Moore mused. “It was a really direct response to, ‘I can’t control this situation, but I can start my own family.’ I think it definitely had something to do with it.” Ultimately, Moore found her happy ending. In 2018, the actor married Taylor Goldsmith and three years later she gave birth the couple’s first child. She may have been going through heartaches, but in the end the actor was able to raise a happy family of his own.
