Mandy Moore Marks 20 Years Since ‘Walking To Remember’, Reveals Past Relationship With Shane West – NBC10 Philadelphia


The year was 2002. We put on our best gaucho pants, straightened our hair to within an inch of its lifespan, put on our favorite Abercrombie shirts, and went to the mall to check out the set. the movie is about to become iconic, “Walking to remember”.

While we might not have known it at the time, 20 years from now, we’ll be watching a video on a small computer that fits in the hands of movie star, Mandy Moore, in retrospect. back to the so-called glory days of the early years of the century!

Tuesday afternoon, Moore posted a video in honor of the film’s 20th anniversary since its release. In the clip, she replays the entire footage.

Moore stars in “A Walk to Remember,” based on the novel of the same name by Nicholas Sparks, as a devout teenager named Jamie. two decades to watch this movie) she’s in love with rebellious Landon, played by Shane West. In the end, she revealed that she had blood cancer and was not responding to treatment. The two work to complete everything on Jamie’s bucket list and decide to get married. They spent a summer together as husband and wife and then Jamie passed away. She has to do everything on her bucket list, except see a miracle.

The movie would be a total downfall, except at the end where Landon realizes he wants to be a doctor, goes to medical school, and Jamie’s father explains to Landon that his love is Jamie’s miracle. So sweet.

Anyway! Moore brought her own mood light and snacks to her viewing experience on Tuesday. She cheers for the fictional teen couple as they fall in love and reveals a secret:

“I mean, you can see why I have the biggest crush on Shane West?! Come on!” she said.

Moore also sang along to some of the film’s iconic musicals and cried at the end.

“Jamie and Landon forever!” she jokingly shouted into the camera.

Obviously, the people in the comments about Moore’s video are huge fans.

Even West got involved.

“Mandy, this is the best thing ever! Hahaha,” he commented with several emojis.

West and Moore have remained friends over the years. He even made a statement at her Hollywood Walk of Fame Star Awards Ceremony.

In one Recent story for everyoneWest talked about how he and Moore once fell in love while filming “A Walk to Remember.”

“I think when you do (there’s an appeal) and you’re making a story that’s so sweet that it makes it very easy,” he told the outlet.

He said the cast was “very much like a family,” even though the script called for on-screen tension.

“Everybody is harmonious and balanced in reality. I’m a bit older. Mandy isn’t 21 yet, so it’s a lovelier thing for us to do our best to protect her,” he said.

BRB, we have to put our heads down and watch this whole movie again.
