AXEL TUANZEBE’s agent has charged Manchester United after his client’s loan move to Napoli.
Fabrizio Ferrari has criticized the Red Devils bosses, citing ‘confusing player management’ and a lack of ‘policy to improve young players’.
Tuanzebe, 24 years old, was in United for nearly 16 years joined the ranks of youth at the age of eight.
The defender made his first-team debut in 2017 – almost five years ago – and has been loaned out time and time again.
After loan spells at Aston Villa for the 2017-18 and 2018-19 seasons, Tuanzebe started making rare appearances for United’s first team – famously keep Kylian Mbappe quiet in a shock 2-1 win over Paris Saint-Germain.
But despite United’s defense looking shaky, the former England Under-21 star was loaned out to Aston Villa in the summer, before being transferred again. this time to Naples, last week.
And the Ferrari agent has now targeted the Old Trafford chiefs for them to make a decision.
Ferrari told Radio Punto Nuovo: “I believe Manchester United have made concrete decisions for the development of their young players…
“I don’t think they have a policy to raise the level of training.
“They are having a hard time understanding the management of players under contract.
“Tuanzebe has rolled back with these management changes.”
Ferrari went on to say that Tuanzebe was not a signing to cause panic for Napoli – but was instead handpicked as his kit lined up perfectly with Luciano Spalletti’s vision.
Regarding the transfer of the defender to Italy, Ferrari continued: “Tuanzebe has been selected, he is not a backup.
“They are looking for a defender with structure but speed in the foot, and Axel marries very well.
“He still has to show himself to the maximum but he is very strong and can be very useful for Napoli.
“Axel didn’t come here for four months but to let people understand his football level, show his characteristics…
“Then Napoli will have to find an economic solution to get Tuanzebe out.
“He was very happy, we talked a lot about the difference between English and Italian football.”
Meanwhile, Tuanzebe’s brother, Dimitri, has strongly suggested the United star leave Aston Villa because Man Utd’s rivalry with Steven Gerrard’s former club Liverpool ‘come alive’.
